The Baseball Development Team/Group will travel to Playball Baseball Academy USA escorted by Craig Stoves the Australian representative for Playball. Craig has lead 10 groups over the past 10 years totalling over 200 players.

Craig is the former Florida Marlins scout in Australia.

The purpose of the trip is to form a talented young team/group - which will come together in April on a tour to the USA for baseball development. The team/group will stay at Playball Baseball Academy - a full time baseball instructional and development school where they will participate on a daily basis in Playball’s baseball program over a two-week period.

The team/group is made up mostly of players ranging in age from 15 - 21. Players will have the option of staying for longer periods if they choose.

This is by far the most popular program for young players, as this tour, including all arrangements, is fully organised by Playball’s Australian Representative.

The team/group will also see Major League Baseball games, Minor League baseball games, visit a minor league training complex, visit a spring training complex, all along with other minor baseball orientated and non baseball orientated activities.

While at Playball the team/group will be under the guidance of experienced baseball coaching, and they may receive exposure to scouts during their stay.

The team/group will be under constant supervision.

Departing April, 2008 

The group tour/program will include all of the following:

• Return airfares

• Accommodation at the El Palacio Sports Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Home of Playball)

  • Group clinics by position and tactical sessions

  • Inter squad baseball scrimmage games
  • Approximately five or six organised baseball games against local teams
    
    
• Interaction and training with a diverse level of players from around the world
• All workouts under the guidance of the instructors at Playball
• All transportation to and from Playball’s baseball facilities
• All transportation for our additional activities

• A Minor league game
• The Florida Marlins / St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training Complex
• Alex Fernandez Strike Zone - Baseball specialist store
• Sawgrass Mills - Florida's largest shopping and entertainment centre
• Sports Authority - Florida’s largest sports store
